WHAT TO DO IN PANGUITCH, UTAH
Panguitch, UT is a great city for those looking to be part of nature. Visit during the Panguitch Valley Balloon Rally or stroll through the Quilt Walk Park if you have the chance. Panguitch is also close by to other attractions that help you become one with the outdoors, like Bryce Canyon National Park and Dixie National Forest.
Bryce Canyon National Park
Located in southern Utah, Bryce Canyon National Park is a park filled with tall, unique rock formations called hoodoos that are unforgettable. Enjoy stunning sunrises while visiting here, along with seeing animals like elk, mule deer, the Utah prairie dog, chipmunks, rattlesnakes, lizards and ravens. The national park is only 30 minutes away from our campground (by car).

Panguitch Balloon Festival

Thousands gather to enjoy an amazing scene of colorful hot air balloons as they soar into the skies of the early mornings during this weekend showdown. On Saturday evening of the rally, the city shuts down the main streets in Panguitch so the ballooners can inflate their balloons safely and glow their beautiful balloons all while walking the streets checking out the vendors, eating great food, live concerts, and lots of activities for kids and adults! Always the last full weekend in June annually.

Panguitch Quilt Walk

This event pays respects to the men that used quilts to cross the mountains in deep snow in 1864. The brave men were obtaining flour to save the starving community of Panguitch. There are many activities that go along with this fun event, ie: a chocolate festival, quilt show, sewing and quilting classes, dinner theater, parades, games, historic home tours, and heritage fair. During this week, you'll notice the residents in the community put their quilts out in front of their homes on display for all to see. This is also an annual event that usually lands in the middle of June.

Chicken Lights & Chrome Truck Show

On the first Friday of July, there will be a light show at 9:00pm on Main Street where the public can see hundreds of lights on each truck on display and see inside a working semi. Then on Saturday, head out to the city park to see all the vendors, new, working, and antique trucks sparkling with chrome! An award presentation for the semi trucks will take place at 4:00pm
